A certain day during CNY (Jan 31 2006)

Went yesterday to AMK to dd's relative hse to "pai nian" but 4got to take pics so no post here... haha

Today went to Marina Sq(org to see "Chun Dao He Pan" but found it's not there this year).

Marina Sq still alot of ppl though it's the 3rd day of CNY

Walk walk then decide to go Killiney to have some coffee

DDs + DD didi Trip

Today never went any new places but visited a new eating place..super ex one..."Din Tai Feng" at Wisma Atria...quite a famous resturant...Events of today:

met dd at same time, same place then we went to Holland Village for Breakfast, Took little sunshine to do some sun-tanning at a new place,the new top of the new 2 storey carpark at holland V. haha... then we went to the newly renovated Holland Village FC to eat. dd ate fried bee hoon + vegies + Chk wings + Luncheon Meat, I ate Fried noodles + Chk Wings + fish cake...
Too bad, forgot to take pics of the food hehe too busy eating away...

In the afternoon, took dd's didi to Orchard to buy some clothing, for wat I dunno lah..mabbe for new year... Walked for about 3hrs(11am-2pm) around Shaw Istean, Wisma Isetan + all the boutiques around there... After that went to "Ding Tai Feng" for lunch.... DD "treat" again haha...Bill come up to about $60...quite ex hor? food quite nice lah I must admit...

But dd quite bias one leh...some examples
1)Go out wif didi, then will treat "willingly", somemore ex also nvm in front of didi...to save face ah?
2)got didi neglect dd one....
3)didi always get presents and are those of substantial values..woo hoo , dd get ..1xfake Polo Ralph Polo from indo, 1x $4.9++ Bday bear even!, haha
4)No didi, usually no go ex resturant, and usu bill=half half(though dd not working)

see dd bias right? didi must pamper, dd no need... only me pamper her....no1 pamper me...

Then we went downstairs to buy some kuehs for dd's mama... after that went back. Me already very full liao though I dun think I had a heavy lunch... Ya I driver again... poor thing, dd and dd's didi all sleeping throughout the journey...they so trust a driver who just pass 3 months ago haha...anyway did sent them back safely home lah...

After we went back, we 2 did something even funnier, went out again...all the way to Pasir Ris farmway to buy ronnie's dry food(cos there got 25% off, other shops only 10% off)... haha went out at 340pm managed to reached there around 405pm fast right? think I sped all the way...above 100km/h most of the time hehe... went there saw many dogs as usual dd went to look at all those "cuties" then can't bear to leave...think if she don't have to be home before 5pm to bring ronnie down for walks then she wun leave so early ...haha anyway left at abt 420pm... managed to reach home at 550pm...this time travel slower and longer cos via the longer ECP mah, dd scare PIE jammed...

Oh ya the dog food I pay...$50++ total, so in some truth I paid back 1/2 of that ex meal earlier...
but nvm lah $$ spent can be earned back...just dun wan dd to be too "xin ku" cos she always anyhow spend so if I can help her abit lor... dd leh wat to do?

DD gg HK next week, no dd for next week liao...sob sob...gg to miss her.... will she miss me? maybe but I think she will miss her didi more... cos mabbe to her didi is family already, dd isn't yet so didi got preferential treatment...Haiz

The day monkdess are Ni-hon-jis

Went to watch "Memoirs" of the Geisha with dd today at Tiong Bahru, Quite a long show, 2.5hrs ..the whole movie is based on the book with the same title. Such a coincidence, we managed to catch a glimpse(which dd and I think is her) of my bro's ex gf...she's a staff working at GV Tiong Bahru...Does not look pretty to me...dunno why my bro is head over heels over her... Think my dd cuter haha

After that by coincidence, we went to have japanese food for dinner at Beppu MenKan at Tiong Bahru Plaza. DD treat me haha, Had quite a lot of dishes there.

Quite nice the food..but I feel the seafood steamboat which I had, had too few "ingredients" inside... only the prawn super big sized...I think the other customers there must have think we are mad, cos we are snapping away at all the food that comes(using my phone cam). haha
Did some shopping there then went back, cos the parking there is damn expensive...

King Kong

DD managed to get 2 FOC tickets to watch King Kong but the tickets have to be used on a weekday..so no choice lor can't watch on a weekend..Went to watch King Kong on Wed Evening 8pm show.

The movie quite touching, actually it never change the plot just change the way the film is flimed. haha...I never watch the 1976 (orginal) version of the movie but I am fascinated how the film makers managed to create such life-like monsters using CGI..Wow

As usual, dd ended up crying when King kong was gunned down by some puny airplanes...

Tour Of Chinatown

As usual, today rain the whole day(almost), sianz... today dd decide to go Chinatown to collect her "free gift" from Osim...dunno why have to collect from the Chinatown branch cannot go elsewhere...so we left at 11plus, went to alexandra to top up before proceeding to Chinatown... Parked at a multi storey carpark at People's park complex...funny not many cars on the rd but the carpark is quite full... have to park at the highest level.. there the road is quite cramp and as u'll noe carpark traffic quite atrocious... so u'll can go there test ur driving skills in avoiding those big cars and vans...

Went "peeped" at the numerous travel agencies there...just for KPO-ing purpose..haha
then we went downstairs to collect the free gift...just a pack of dunno-wat...so cheapsake...
then we went to the new Pearl Mkt...quite bright and clean after the renovations... but not all the stores are open yet...

After that we make our way to the Pasar Malam opposite, Alot of ppl by 1pm..walk walk there until 230pm then went to Malan La Mian for lunch not much ppl there leh... had Pork Ribs Noodles, Fried rice, mango-prawn roll and Crispy Toufu, all "highly recommended" in the menu. haha quite nice lah the food...can go there try...

Hmm..dunno why the pics dd take wif my phones mostly are blurred...think her hands shaky....haha

I think that everyone out there who have a loved ones will have their very own love story to tell of how they met with their darlings as for us we prefer to refer ourselves "Dear Dear".So "A tale of 2 Dears" is just to give a account of our love story from how we met to how we became wat we are now. Dear1's Diary

May 1999

I had just finished my 2nd year examinations in Singapore Polytechnic and during the holidays, I am suppose to be doing my ITP which is also my final year project(Robotic pet dog) in campus. When I got to the lab I found out that there was another group of students who were going to do this project with us. My beloved Dear 2 was one of the students in the other group. At that time neither of us knew who the other was. In fact I do not even know her name then it was after a few weeks later that she introduced herself to us(me and my groupmates) that I got to know her. Little did I know that this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

June 1999

We have been working on the project for about a month now,but have not been making much headthrough. However my friendship with her seem to get better as we spend more time together in the lab. I began to develop a crush for her however this crush quickly subsided when I found out that she actually had a boyfriend. so things when back to usual.I do not know whether it was fate at work or wat but we got back our results at the end of the month and she was posted to the same course and class as me.

July 1999

School reopens and we head back to our books, both of us were in the same class. As she does not have any friends in the class she kinda found herself tagging me and my friends. So at lectures and tutorials she would sit beside me as I am her only friend then. We began to understand each other more as we spend more time together.

August 1999

She confided in me that her boyfriend had left her when I saw that she was quite distraught during classes.Being helpful and as a friend I console her and told her to forget that heartless chap. However at this point of time I still did not feel anything other than pity for her(Honest!). She quickly got over her painful relationship though(mabbe due to my companionship?, haa haa) anyway we still went to the lab quite often as we had to work on our project. We sort of got closer to each other and we developed a way of communicating during lectures and tutorials-by writing replies and questions on little sheets of papers. By this time around due to the fact that we were spending much time together, my friends began to make fun of us saying that we were a pair. However i simply brush these remarks aside.

September 1999

We often went out during breaks together. Sometimes in campus and sometimes out to shopping centers. My feelings for her were buried somewhere deep within me, waiting to be discovered.

October 1999

One day she wrote something on the piece of paper(actual content is secret) which I regarded as a hint, I could have hinted to her but I was a very shy boy so in the end, she had to take the initiative. I have always enjoy a strictly platonic relationship with my female peers when I was in secondary school so I sort of "inherited" that kind of behavior into polytechnic and tease and joke with her like what I did in secondary school. After that little sentence she said I went hope and though carefully and deeply. I ask myself whether I do feel anything for her and the answer is "Yes" I do like her but I am not sure whether my feelings is real or not as I have never been in a relationship before so where feelings is concern I am a rookie.Anyway I asked her one night whether she meant what she said and whether she is willing to give me a chance. she did not give me a definite answer but I think her answer is "Yes". I walked her home the next day this is the 1st time I walked her home and only the second time I walk gals home(the 1st was with a netfriend coz it's dark). I wanted to hold her hand but I was afraid that she would reject my approach so I did not do it but chit chat with her for the entire journey. Then exam arrive.

November 1999

After the exams, we,together with a few friends decided to have lunch together to sort of celebrate the end of exams. After the meal, we went for a walk around the city area, I wanted to hold her hand so badly so finally at a CD shop I pluck up my courage and ask her to and she did hold my hands. After that I never wanted to let go even till now... Finally we were together,the day was 6th of November...it's the start of a new begining and I hope that I never had to let go of her hand that was so dear to me...
