Happy 2006!

So fast now already 1st Jan 2006, many of u'll must have great fun last night at the "count down" or "cow dung" rather as I called it simply cos they sound similar haha.
For me and dd, we actually sort of lost interest in it, can't remember exactly when was the last time we went to count down or rather attempt to go to one.I think it's the countdown to 2000 because of all the hyped-up new milliuem thingy. Remember that we were at Orchard Rd, the crowd there was atrocious...worst then queue at JB customs on saturdays.. haha
I was never one who like crowds and dd I think was also quite "sianz" then...can't move so in the end we went back to sleep through the countdown(count ourselves in our dreams). But now old already guess we've grown out of the whole countdown thingy... haha anyway nowadays so many occasions also got countdowns, countdowns to Christmas lah, Countdown to New Year, Count down to Chinese New year blah blah blah until the whole countdown thingy doesn't seem novel anymore...

Oops back to today's topic. Today is the start of 2006 and a sun, so sunshine can leave it's home for other places. today suppose to go swimming wif dd. However a couple of events made that impossible. D1 sprain his back doing "tuck-jumps" on saturday,D2 kena running nose, and worst of all it's RAINING!

So in the end, dd brought me to Sin Ming to eat Roti Prata(at No.1 Crispy Roti Prata, near Vicom Sing Ming).Quite nice the plain Roti Prata, I think it's even crispier and nicer than Jalan Kayu one, don't know how come Jalan Kayu got associated wif Roti Pratas when there are nicer pratas elsewhere,Mabbe Jalan Kayu got more prata varieties?(Those Prata making Uncles at Jalan Kayu gonna kill me haha) ... Oh ya even ate a plate of fried dumplings..(one of dd's favorite)

After tat I took over the wheel and drove to dd uncle's house to be computer repair man(and woman). Finished the task rather quickly. Then we head to AMK central cos the time is still early and shopping centers are not opened yet. Walked around the place, alot of shops are closed and the whole place looks err funny cos of the many construction works going on there, looks quite different from the time when I went there during my nights-out in army. Even dd who is a frequent AMK goer was also surprised at the change...

Then came the frequently-asked-question "Where to have lunch"? guess we 2 having the comfort of a little car can have the luxury of going to any place(in singapore) where there's good food. Lunch need not be settled at a place where we at at lunchtime. haha Finally decided to go to Pow Sing at Serangoon Gdns(even after flipping through "makansutra"). So off we went.

Had Chicken Rice and kangkong cuttlefish at the resturant, sipped down a cup of chinese tea to aid digestion, very full...Food was nice.

Then we have to decide to go which "unexplored places" after lunch. Decided to go to Pasir Ris farmway to look at puppies cos there's alot of puppy breeders there. Managed to find the place after a few turns at Pasir Ris. went to some pet shops and some dog boarding places as well as some "kernels" where the breeders sell their pups directly to customers (instead of shops)

dd was absolutely thrilled to see so many cute little puppies. Too bad we don't have a ranch else I think dd will gladly "take" all the puppies there to rear haha. The breeders there very "Xian Shi", when we say we wan to "look around" they like don't care about us and give those "black black face". The moment dd say she wan to get another puppy, suddenly the uncle become very friendly(and talkative haha). Got one auntie(breeder) wan to sell us a female cocker spaniel, 5 months old for $500(think still can neg if wan). Looks exactly like ronnie, very cute think it's quite obedient too, cos it never struggles like ronnie when the auntie hold it up for dd to see, it it's ronnie, sure will struggle like mad and try to get down haha...I think dd quite tempted cos she wanted to get a companion for ronnie but 2 dogs I think is too much for dd's mum to handle...
Then went to another boarding home(for dogs) saw this black puppy(borne cos of "accident"). A chihuahua-cocker spaniel cross(the auntie claims)..Very nice coat of black fur and looks super cute and quite small size...2 months old only...
Too bad didn't get to take pics of the puppies else will melt all those dog lovers out there...

Went home after that...weather very hot leh

I think that everyone out there who have a loved ones will have their very own love story to tell of how they met with their darlings as for us we prefer to refer ourselves "Dear Dear".So "A tale of 2 Dears" is just to give a account of our love story from how we met to how we became wat we are now. Enjoy reading...

Dear1's Diary

May 1999

I had just finished my 2nd year examinations in Singapore Polytechnic and during the holidays, I am suppose to be doing my ITP which is also my final year project(Robotic pet dog) in campus. When I got to the lab I found out that there was another group of students who were going to do this project with us. My beloved Dear 2 was one of the students in the other group. At that time neither of us knew who the other was. In fact I do not even know her name then it was after a few weeks later that she introduced herself to us(me and my groupmates) that I got to know her. Little did I know that this is the start of a beautiful relationship.

June 1999

We have been working on the project for about a month now,but have not been making much headthrough. However my friendship with her seem to get better as we spend more time together in the lab. I began to develop a crush for her however this crush quickly subsided when I found out that she actually had a boyfriend. so things when back to usual.I do not know whether it was fate at work or wat but we got back our results at the end of the month and she was posted to the same course and class as me.

July 1999

School reopens and we head back to our books, both of us were in the same class. As she does not have any friends in the class she kinda found herself tagging me and my friends. So at lectures and tutorials she would sit beside me as I am her only friend then. We began to understand each other more as we spend more time together.

August 1999

She confided in me that her boyfriend had left her when I saw that she was quite distraught during classes.Being helpful and as a friend I console her and told her to forget that heartless chap. However at this point of time I still did not feel anything other than pity for her(Honest!). She quickly got over her painful relationship though(mabbe due to my companionship?, haa haa) anyway we still went to the lab quite often as we had to work on our project. We sort of got closer to each other and we developed a way of communicating during lectures and tutorials-by writing replies and questions on little sheets of papers. By this time around due to the fact that we were spending much time together, my friends began to make fun of us saying that we were a pair. However i simply brush these remarks aside.

September 1999

We often went out during breaks together. Sometimes in campus and sometimes out to shopping centers. My feelings for her were buried somewhere deep within me, waiting to be discovered.

October 1999

One day she wrote something on the piece of paper(actual content is secret) which I regarded as a hint, I could have hinted to her but I was a very shy boy so in the end, she had to take the initiative. I have always enjoy a strictly platonic relationship with my female peers when I was in secondary school so I sort of "inherited" that kind of behavior into polytechnic and tease and joke with her like what I did in secondary school. After that little sentence she said I went hope and though carefully and deeply. I ask myself whether I do feel anything for her and the answer is "Yes" I do like her but I am not sure whether my feelings is real or not as I have never been in a relationship before so where feelings is concern I am a rookie.Anyway I asked her one night whether she meant what she said and whether she is willing to give me a chance. she did not give me a definite answer but I think her answer is "Yes". I walked her home the next day this is the 1st time I walked her home and only the second time I walk gals home(the 1st was with a netfriend coz it's dark). I wanted to hold her hand but I was afraid that she would reject my approach so I did not do it but chit chat with her for the entire journey. Then exam arrive.

November 1999

After the exams, we,together with a few friends decided to have lunch together to sort of celebrate the end of exams. After the meal, we went for a walk around the city area, I wanted to hold her hand so badly so finally at a CD shop I pluck up my courage and ask her to and she did hold my hands. After that I never wanted to let go even till now... Finally we were together,the day was 6th of November...it's the start of a new begining and I hope that I never had to let go of her hand that was so dear to me...
